The satellite images available via the IPS website are obtained from non-IPS sources. Images may be obtained from:
- SOHO - Solar & Heliospheric Observatory. SOHO is a project of international cooperation between ESA and NASA.
- STEREO - Solar TErrestrial RElations Observatory.
- SDO - SDO images Courtesy of NASA/SDO and the AIA, EVE, and HMI science teams.
IPS also makes use of diagrams and images provided by NASA for educational and informational purposes. See the relevant NASA guidelines.
The image below is of Atlantis and its Orbital Boom Sensor System robot arm extension backdropped against Earth's horizon and a greenish phenomenon associated with Aurora Australis. One of the station's solar array panels appears at upper left.
