Skiymet Meteor Radar installed and operational at Learmonth Solar Observatory. This radar was installed by Genesis Software (Adelaide) for Dr Werner Singer of the University of Rostok (Germany). It will monitor the entry of meteoroids and the re-entry of space debris into the Earth's atmosphere for the next 2 years.
At the invitation of Dr Robert McMillan, John Kennewell visited the Spacewatch Project in Tuscon, Arizona, and collaborated in discussions and observations of asteroids with Spacewatch staff and a group of Mongolian astronomers.
