Seminars

To raise awareness about space weather and its effects, IPS Radio and Space Services, Bureau of Meteorology, occasionally presents free one-hour information seminars. The presentations cover the following topics:

• Space Weather: what it is all about.
• About the Sun: Solar wind/flares/storms/cycle, coronal mass ejections and coronal holes.
• Space weather effects: Geomagnetic and ionospheric storms/disturbances and their effects on businesses.
• Space weather and BOM/IPS services.
