  • 22 March 07 Further HF Radio Propagation Courses will be conducted in Melbourne and Hobart on 17 and 21 May, 2007. The one-day course will enhance understanding of HF radio propagation, explain the space-weather environment and increase the value of the IPS HF prediction and management services to our customers.   • 12 July 05 IPS Forbush Decrease and Ground Level Event Alerts Now Avaialble. The Australian Antarctic Program's Mawson base in Antarctica is providing IPS with real time cosmic ray data. IPS has created two new alert services based on these data; Forbush Decrease Alerts (generally associated with solar coronal mass ejections) and Ground Level Event Alerts which are associated with strong solar particle flares.
