Culgoora Solar Observatory, near the township of Narrabri, NSW, is located at 30.28South, 149.58 East.
You can check weather conditions at Culgoora by viewing the Culgoora Observatory weather station page and the Commonwealth of Australia Bureau of Meteorology's (BoM) district forecast. Cloud conditions can also be checked by viewing the BoM's latest infrared satellite image of the Australian Region. Rain can be confirmed on the BoM Moree weather radar.

The above image has been processed for general viewing. To
avoid saturation of the image, the camera that acquires these images will
adjust the exposure time of the CCD during solar flares, this will result in
the image appearing darker during flare activity.The automatic flare detection
technique is described in this document on solar flare patrol.
