Imaging Riometer

The Southern Hemisphere Imaging Riometer Experiment (SHIRE) is an IRIS imaging riometer system which has been operating near continuously at Davis Station, Antarctica (-68.6,78.0) since 1997. Data in standard IRIS format as well as the relevant quiet day curves are archived in the WDC, and are available by Data Request. For further information on the SHIRE experiment, please visit the SHIRE Information page.

To view a table outlining which SHIRE data are available through the WDC, click on SHIRE Data Availability

To display a SHIRE summary plot, select a Year, Month and Day, and then click on the 'Load SHIRE data' button which will appear when a valid date selection is made.
Your current selection is listed in the right hand 'You Have Selected' column as you go.
