URSI Commission G Working Group 4: Ionospheric Research to Support Radio Systems Welcome to the wg4 mail list. This mail list has been established to support the work of URSI Working Group 4. The WG is intended to cover as wide a range of systems likely to be affected by ionospheric effects as possible, for example: Communications - LF, MF and HF skywave radio, especially digitally modulated systems such as those embodied within the new Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) system. Also trans-ionospheric UHF satellite communications. Radars/surveillance - including HF over the horizon radar, space-based radar and ground based radar. Navigation - including GNSS, GPS etc and various augmentation systems. Visit the wg4 Home page for more information (www.ips.gov.au/IPSHosted/wg4). The main functions of the mail list are: to assist people interested in the activities of wg4 to communicate more readily with others having similar interests, to offer a forum for system discussions and thereby broaden the scope of wg4, to give the wg4 Officers an easy way to communicate with all of you. Using wg4
To post a message to all the list members, send email to wg4@ips.gov.au. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to wg4
Subscribe to wg4 by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.
