URSI GA YOUNG SCIENTISTS PROGRAMME AND URSI STUDENT PAPER COMPETITION

 

Commission G Colleagues 

 

I attach details of the URSI Young (up to 35 years old) Scientists Programme
which provides financial and accommodation support to attend the General
Assembly which takes place in August 2008. This is essentially the same
programme that has been run for a number of years. Please note the
deadlines, if you or your colleagues are interested.

 

I would also like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to a new
initiative - the URSI Student Paper Competition. As you will see the winners
are to be rewarded with a substantial financial prize and all the finalists
receive free lodging. (The $5,000 in prizes, the cost of preparing award
certificates, and other expenses related to the student competition will be
funded by the US National Committee of URSI as a contribution to the GA.).
Please promulgate this widely.
